Volunteer Job Descriptions
Beverage Vendor Team
This team helps run the beverage pods where festival patrons purchase beverages (beer and non-alcohol). Volunteers should be friendly, outgoing, and enjoy helping the general public. In most cases you’ll be working in teams of 4 to 5 and will stay really busy.
Green Recycle Team
This team helps with the Festival’s recycling and sustainability components. Volunteers will man a booth, collect recycling and answer questions about the festival’s increasing sustainability efforts, and empty recycle bins placed strategically throughout the Festival area. (This does NOT include any trash pick up, only recycling.) An excellent job for our team greeners, and everyone who cares about our environment!
Merchandise Sales Team
This volunteer team helps sell official festival t-shirts and other fun merch at the Merchandise tent. This team works longer shifts to maintain consistency but you’ll be in the shade under a tent! Retail experience is definitely helpful but not necessary. As with all teams, volunteers should be friendly and outgoing.
This volunteer committee helps with event logistics which includes placing signage, delivering needed goods and supplies to vendor stations, and coordinating distribution of radios and golf carts. NOTE: Volunteers MUST be able to lift heavy items, handle traffic control and drive an A.T.V. (John Deere Gator) to deliver supplies during event. This team is physically active and works hard.
Volunteer Support Team
This team provides support to all the volunteers through staffing Volunteer Check-in, Volunteer Hospitality food and beverage station, Floaters (helping other teams as needed) and Event Runners (running errands onsite for festival staff). A great, behind-the-scenes job that touches all of the other teams!
